The golden age of MTV created a music and design junkie out of Kieran. For more than 20 years, he has developed and maintained cohesive branding campaigns for clients in a variety of industries, from healthcare and education, to labor and finance. Since founding Winking Fish in 2007, Kieran has led his team to craft powerful visual messaging across all types of media, from billboards to Facebook. By adhering to a strict philosophy of “strategy leads, design enhances,” Kieran’s design work has elevated the efforts of the International Monetary Fund, Alliance for American Manufacturing, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Mirus Futures, BlueGreen Alliance and the Economic Policy Institute.
When he’s not designing, Kieran can be heard singing with his vocal band, Cartoon Johnny, or found flipping through the stacks at the local record store looking for additions to his eclectic vinyl collection.

A Pennsylvania native, Danny studied graphic design at Millersville University. After a brief stint in the carpentry business and as a drummer for a band, he headed to D.C. to focus full-time on design. Here, he worked for a few noteworthy studios before finding his way to Winking Fish. Danny has produced designs for a number of well-known companies, restaurants and non-profit organizations in the D.C. area. He believes that a strong concept, careful planning and a creative eye are essential to producing quality, memorable design.
Outside the studio, Danny keeps busy with various illustration projects. He can usually be found exploring the city with a sketchbook, biking along one of the areas bike trails or holed up in a favorite coffee shop or bar sipping a venue-appropriate beverage.
Robyn came to Winking Fish after working at a state college for eight years. She enjoys working on projects for causes she supports, such as education, the environment and wildlife, as well as projects that involve culture and travel. Robyn believes the most important thing in a design is clean typography to convey a clear message.
From raising an active toddler and balancing an active home life, Robyn gets her serenity from creating design with perfect order and dreaming up crazy adventures to different countries around the world. Even though its hectic getting out the door in the morning, she enjoys making the long trip from Clifton, VA, back to the bustling city where she spent most of her twenties.
Parisa has enjoyed creating art for as long as she can remember, which is why she decided to leave her hometown of Rainbow City, AL, more than a decade ago to study design at the Art Institute of Washington. She may have lost her southern accent along the way, but not her love of fried green tomatoes and sweet tea. Parisa became the second member of the Winking Fish team nine years ago. She has worked on a variety of design projects for a broad range of clients focused on education, childhood hunger, health care, the environment and evolving social issues. She feels that it is important to create work for clients that do their part to improve the greater good of the world we live in.
In her free time, Parisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, making the world a prettier place and planning a puppy adoption for the very near future. A bit of a foodie, Parisa hopes to one day write a cookbook featuring her favorite food—bacon.
