The golden age of MTV created a music and design junkie out of Kieran. For more than 20 years, he has developed and maintained cohesive branding campaigns for clients in a variety of industries, from healthcare and education, to labor and finance. Since founding Winking Fish in 2007, Kieran has led his team to craft powerful visual messaging across all types of media, from billboards to Facebook. By adhering to a strict philosophy of “strategy leads, design enhances,” Kieran’s design work has elevated the efforts of the International Monetary Fund, Alliance for American Manufacturing, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Mirus Futures, BlueGreen Alliance and the Economic Policy Institute.
When he’s not designing, Kieran can be heard singing with his vocal band, Cartoon Johnny, or found flipping through the stacks at the local record store looking for additions to his eclectic vinyl collection.

Maria has almost 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on campaign strategy and content development. She recently joined her husband and the team at Winking Fish after having spent more than a decade at FleishmanHillard, where she ran the public sector division of the Washington, D.C. office, as well as the agency at-large.
Maria’s communications career has taken her out of the coal region of Pennsylvania, across the country several times and even to the Amazon rainforest for her work on social issues and education campaigns. Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading and writing, has a flair for fashion, a love of travel and a knack for baking delicious cookies. She is an avid, life-long fan of the Super Bowl Champion (FINALLY!!!) Philadelphia Eagles and resides in Arlington with her rock star (and graphic designer) husband and their brazen kitty, Jesse Pinkman.
